The primary material for sterile single-use bags is multi-layer polymeric films. The inner contact layer is ultra-low density polyethylene (ULDPE) for biocompatibility, low leachables and no animal-derived components. The middle layer is ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH) for effective gas and moisture barrier. The outer layer is linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) or polyamide (PA) for strength and biocompatibility.
